I’m in a photo-coma.
After a Mediterranean Cruise, you can imagine the gazillion pictures we have. Sooooo many pretty pictures and I still can’t choose from them. Ergo, haven’t been posting much.
From Manila, we flew to Rome and explored Florence-Pisa-Tuscany and Assissi before heading to Venice where the Cruise started and ended. During the Cruise, we had Shore Excursions in Dubrovnik in Croatia (where Game of Thrones was filmed), Ephesus in Turkey (where Mama Mary’s House is), Santorini (we’ve all heard so much about it) and Olympia (origin of the Olympics) in Greece.
Bucket list destinations. Picture-perfect places.
But the best part of all was that I got spend time with family. Family time in Europe. We were 99% complete. The only absentee was my dad who was left in Manila because he didn’t think he can handle all the walking, tiredness and heat. We missed him dearly. And we’re planning to photoshop his picture in our almost complete family pictures. It has been more than 8 years since my siblings and I were complete in the same place.
We’re arranged by our birth order: Robby, Paolo, Chinky & Ginger. Robby & his family is based in Canada while Paolo & his family is based in Singapore. Ginger is based in the Philippines with us and our parents. We didn’t coordinate our outfits for this picture but we ended up wearing all stripes. We’re not really “singkit,” we were just squinting because of the sun. But all smiles for this great reunion.
Almost complete family picture as we docked in Santorini, Greece. 9 adults, 3 children and 1 infant. It was also the first time for Robby and my eldest nephew, Bob to meet Joaquin (and he’s already 4 years old!) And the first time for the Ramirez cousins to be complete. The eldest, Bob being 19 years old and the youngest, Sabine at 1.5 years old. We really maximized our family time in Europe.
This was during the Formal Night on the Cruise. One of our many favorite family pictures!
Forever grateful to God and our parents for the opportunity to travel and enjoy family time in Europe. 2 years ago, my husband and I gave up all-expenses paid trip to Europe. Looking at this post now, there is indeed a time for everything. The perfect time and the perfect way. That trip we gave up 2 years ago turned out to be bigger and better, Joaquin was with my husband & I this time PLUS we had more family members this time for the reunion!
Well, there’s still a lot more to post about our recent adventure. Even more travel stories to share from last year’s trips to Mexico and Korea. But that would have to wait. There’s a lot of things going on right now, busy catching up with a lot of stuff. And I have my priorities straight and family time comes first!
